The Marcia dei Tre Campanili is a non-competitive running and hiking event held annually in October in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in the north-eastern corner of Italy.
It is one of the many delightful ‘marcia’ events that take place every weekend, all over Italy, under the auspices of FIASP (Federazione Italiana Amatori Sport Per Tutti).
This marcia offers three flat and scenic routes, approximately 7km, 12km and 18km long, starting and ending in the village of San Pier d'Isonzo (or simply ‘San Piero’) which sits on the Isonzo river near the Trieste Airport.
All three routes run on mixed terrain through very pretty rural areas and villages.
The entry fees are low, and participants can still decide on the course which distance they want to run or walk.
