The Plänterwaldlauf in Berlin is held twice per year, in February and in December.
Entrants can choose between five races: 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k or 4x5k relay.
The course is a completely-flat 5,007-metre loop on mixed terrain (asphalt, gravel and trails) through the Plänterwald, one of Berlin's last remaining inner-city forests, located in the borough of Treptow-Köpenick in the south-eastern part of Germany's capital.
Almost half of the route runs along the Spree river.
