The Babenbergerlauf is a road running event held annually in Vienna, capital city of Austria.

Organized by the LCC Wien athletics club, the event features one of the flattest and fastest road running courses in Europe.

The route is a pancake-flat, accurately-measured and traffic-free loop through the Prater, the largest public park in the city.

The start and the finish line are on Hauptallee, the main avenue through the park (pictured), near Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

These race distances are available:

  • 400m-600m-800m Babenberger kids
  • 5km Lauf (5k run, one lap)
  • 5km Walk (5k walk, one lap)
  • 10km Lauf (10k run; two laps)
  • 21.1km Halbmarathon (half marathon, four laps)
