Run and Rock in Marienbad!

The SpaRun in Czechia is a fabulous event. Not only is it set in a tremendous location, it also features two free rock concerts after the race.
Held in Mariánské Lázně (also known by its German name Marienbad), one of the three world-famous Bohemian spas, the race is one of Central Europe's most scenic town runs. The entire route is absolutely beautiful.
The course is 6.4km long and traffic-free, but it's a challenging race as the route includes several ascents and descents.
By contrast, the children's races are flat.
Starting and finishing on the athletics track of the Sportovní areál Victoria, ...
... the route winds its way on mixed terrain through spa gardens and parks where royals, writers and composers strolled around and sipped mineral water from natural springs.
The route passes innumerable opulent spa buildings, including the magnificent Neo-baroque Kolonáda Maxima Gorkého.
