Trnava (Slovakia), Sunday 24 April 2016
This City Run offers a flat and fast 10k race through Trnava, a very pleasant town of about 66,000 people, situated 50km from Slovakia's capital Bratislava.
Starting on Trojičné námestie, the main square in the heart of the old town (pictured), the route runs through the historic centre with its many awe-inspiring churches, along the medieval town walls, through residential areas, and around the former cukrovar, a sugar refinery which operated for 159 years until 2004.
The first City Run Trnava, held in 2015, saw 461 runners crossing the finish line. This year the race may fill up early as the entry limit is 500 runners.
