The annual 5k and 10k races of the City-Nacht (City Night) attract a crowd of about 10,000 runners and inline skaters.

Starting and finishing near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (pictured), the main landmark in the western part of Berlin, the 5k is an out-and-back run along the Kurfürstendamm boulevard.

The 10k begins with a 5.5km loop through the city centre. Then, it's out and back the "Ku'damm".

The route is flat and fast.

Last year, the 10k race had 4,444 finishers. The winners were Manuel Stöckert (30:22) and Anna Hahner (33:52).
