The Krkonoše Maraton is the fourth race of the Salomon Trail Running Cup 2015 (STRC), a series of eight running events, held between June and November at eight different locations in the Czech Republic.

The event offers two races (15km and 47km) through the Krkonoše, the highest mountain range in the country, situated on the border with Poland.

Be prepared for a true challenge! The 15km route features more than 800m of ascent, the 47km ultra marathon approximately 2600m of ascent.

Both routes begin and end in the ski resort of Špindlerův Mlýn (German: Spindlermühle) which sits at an elevation of about 700m on the banks of the Labe (Elbe), one of Central Europe's major rivers but still a small stream in these parts.

The 47km route visits the source of the river (Czech: Pramen Labe). At 1387m above sea level, this is also the highest point on the course.
