The route runs past this Greek Catholic church in Pribić.

The Utrka Dolinom Kardinala features a very hilly and scenic course around the pilgrimage village of Krašić in northern Croatia.

Participants run 23.4 kilometres on asphalt roads through the foothills of the Žumberak, a delightful rural region which sees very few foreign visitors.

The route consists of two different loops, approximately 8km and 15km long. The course is not closed to traffic but there's usually not much car traffic.

On the day of the event, runners can use the free bus service from Zagreb, which is approximately 50 kilometres from Krašić.

In 2011, the race had 61 finishers. The fastest runners were the Hungarian athletes David Kiss (1:22:31) and Réka Bátai (1:41:57).
