Held in a wine-growing region to the south of Austria's capital city Vienna, this 10K road race features a very attractive but challenging point-to-point course.

The difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course is about 100 metres.

The start is in the village of Pfaffstätten, which is situated on the edge of the spa town of Baden, around 25 kilometres from Vienna's city centre. The finish is at the public swimming pool in Mödling, a very pretty old town, located just 15 kilometres from Vienna.

In 2010, the winners were Julian Langer (35:49) and Sylvia Buxhofer (40:04).
