The very hilly Polumaraton Jaska in Croatia brings runners to the lower slopes of the Žumberak-Samobor Hills (Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje), an area of great scenic beauty.

The start and finish are in the small town of Jastrebarsko (also called "Jaska" by the locals). The town sits at the foot of the hills, about 40 kilometres to the south-west of Zagreb, on the motorway and the railway line from Zagreb to the Adriatic Sea.

The route is one loop on quiet country lanes. Participants run through fields, meadows, vineyards, woods and villages. The first half of the course goes mostly uphill, the second half downhill, but there are some short steep climbs in between.

In 2010, the half marathon winners were Drago Paripović (1:16:03) and Veronika Jurišić (1:32:35).
