From January to March each year, the athletics club LCC Wien offers a series of three road running events in the vast Prater park in Austria's capital city Vienna.

Each event consists of a 7km run (one lap) and a half marathon (three laps).

The route is completely flat, traffic-free and AIMS-certified. Most of the course is out-and-back the Prater Hauptallee, the main avenue through the park.

In 2010, over 600 runners took part in the first event of the Eisbärlauf series. The half marathon winners were Wolfgang Wallner (1:12:05) and Eva-Maria Gradwohl (1:18:22).
