16th Tabor Run 2011

Held every year on a Friday evening in mid-August, the Taborski tek brings runners to the small town of Ljutomer, located in a low-lying region in eastern Slovenia.

The town sits between the wetlands of the River Mura to the north and the beautiful terraced vineyards of Jeruzalem to the south.

There are also several thermal spas in the region.

The main race is 8.5 kilometers long. Competitors run out-and-back on the road to the village of Cezanjevci. The course is mostly flat.

Last year, the 8.5K race had around 100 participants. The 3K run had 24 finishers, and the children's races had about 80 finishers.

Riko Novak won the main race in a time of 27:17, Špela Fujs was first woman in 36:07.
