31st International Koprivnica Town Race

Koprivnica is in the north of Croatia in the low-lying, agriculturally rich Podravina region, close to the Hungarian border and the River Drava. It's a pleasant and prospering small town, easy to get to as it's on the train lines Zagreb-Budapest and Zagreb-Osijek.

Under the leadership of race director and former middle distance runner Branko Zorko, who competed over the 1500 metres in five Olympic Games, the event offers short and fast road races for all ages. Last year, more than 600 children and juniors competed over distances of 100 to 1200 metres. Women run 3.4km (3 laps) and men 5.6km (5 laps).

The start/finish area is on Zrinski trg, the large and attractive, elongated main square with a leafy park on one side. The course is flat and fast and takes you through the park and the streets of Koprivnica.

There are no entry fees.

In 2008, the winners were Hungarian Zsolt Benedek and Croatia's Lisa Stublić.
