Tek trojk 2009
Troika Run 2009
Last year, almost 30,000 walked or ran around Slovenia's capital to remember the liberation of Ljubljana at the end of World War II.
Most of them joined in the "pohod", a walk along the 33km long "Pot", the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship. This footpath follows the line where a barbed wire fence surrounded the city from 1942 to 1945.
To take part in the Tek trojk you need to form a team of three runners - female, male or mixed. You must finish the race together. Individual runners without teammates are not allowed to cross the finish line.
The event offers races of 12km and 28km. Both races start and finish on the beautiful Prešeren Square in the city centre, and both take you across the densely forested Golovec hill on the second half of the course.
The Troika Run is mostly a fun event without a prize fund. There are no entry fees!
