The Giro del Lago is a 9km multi-terrain race around the magnificent Lago del Predil (or ‘Lago di Raibl’), a 1.5km-long lake set at an elevation of 969 metres amidst the majestic mountain scenery of the Julian Alps in the north-eastern corner of Italy, near the borders with Slovenia and Austria.

Starting and finishing in the former mining village of Cave del Predil, which is nine kilometres from the ski resort of Tarvisio, the course is very hilly and is run on a mix of asphalt roads (2.5km), gravel roads (3km) and mountain trails (3.5km).

The Giro del Lago begins and ends in Cave del Predil.
