Held annually since 1973, the Camignada poi Siè Refuge takes mountain runners and hikers through the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomiti di Sesto (Sexten Dolomites) in the far north of Italy.

The route is 33 kilometres long. It includes approximately 1,600 metres of ascent. The highest point on the course is at an elevation of over 2,500 metres.

Starting at Lago di Misurina (1,752m), which is about twelve kilometres from the ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the route passes the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo (pictured above), sei rifugi (six mountain huts), and seven checkpoints and refreshment stations. The finish line is in the village of Auronzo di Cadore (864m).

Entrants can choose between two options:

  • The corsa non competitiva is a race for ambitious runners. Entrants need to provide a medical certificate for athletics at registration. Prizes are awarded to the fastest finishers.
  • The passeggiata ludico-motoria aims at those who want to take it easy and enjoy the many stunning views along the route.

The time limit to complete the course is ten hours.

Entries are limited to 500 participants.

Pre-race bus transportation from Auronzo to the start area is available.
