The Werdauer Waldlauf (Werdau Forest Run) is held annually in spring in the Werdauer Wald (Werdau Forest), a popular recreational area in the town of Werdau in Germany's state of Sachsen (Saxony).
Four races are available for runners to choose from:
- 1km
- 7km
- 12km
- 21.1km Halbmarathon (half marathon)
Starting at the Sportschule Werdau, a multi-purpose sports complex that also offers accommodation, the course is on mixed terrain (asphalt and gravel) and rather hilly. The 7k route includes 80 metres of ascent, the 12k 120 metres and the half marathon 220 metres.
The time limit to finish the course is three and a half hours.
In addition to the four races for runners, the Werdauer Waldlauf offers a 10km route for walkers and hikers.
