The Oktoberfestlauf (‘Oktoberfest Run’) takes place at the time of the Oktoberfest, the famous folk and beer festival that is held annually from mid/late-September to early October in the city of München (Munich) in Germany.

Three different options are available for participants: 5km, 10km and a 21.1km Halbmarathon (half marathon).

The route is completely flat and very fast, taking the runners around the 2.23km-long Regattastrecke Oberschleißheim (Oberschleißheim Regatta Course), a rowing and canoeing venue located approximately 16km north of Munich's city centre.

The 5k is one lap around the regatta course, the 10k is two laps and the half marathon is four laps followed by a 1.1km loop at the end.
