The Velikonoční půlmaraton (‘Easter Half Marathon’) is a running event held annually in the spring in Prostějov, a town of about 43,000 people in the Moravia region in the Czech Republic.

Five race distances are available:

  • 50m, 300m, 500m for children
  • 10km
  • 21.1km half marathon

The route is mainly flat, starting and finishing at the Bistro U Maříků which is situated in the lovely lesopark Hloučela (‘Forest Park Hloučela’) in the north-western part of Prostějov, approximately three kilometres from the very pretty Old Town.

The race takes the runners, partly on cycleways and partly on roads, through rural and urban areas and along the Hloučela river.

Get your registration in early! Entries are limited to 200 runners for the half marathon and 100 for the 10k race.
