The Jesenický maraton (English: Jeseniky Marathon) takes runners through the Hrubý Jeseník mountain range in the Czech Republic.

Entrants can choose between two very challenging point-to-point multi-terrain races:

  • 42km maraton (marathon) with 1,780m of ascent
  • 22km půlmaraton (half marathon) with 730m of ascent

The marathon begins at 10am at the Ramzová ski area (800m).

Half marathon runners start off at 11am at the Červenohorské sedlo ski area (1,013m), near the half-way mark of the marathon.

The highest point on the 42km marathon course is on Praděd (1,491m), the highest peak of the mountain range (pictured above).

Both routes end on the Skřítek saddle (877m):
