The Brucker Citylauf is an annual running event held traditionally on the first weekend of June in Bruck an der Leitha, a small town of 8,000 people, located at the eastern tip of Austria, near the borders with Hungary and Slovakia and approximately fourty kilometres from Vienna.

It's an event for the whole family:

  • 380m-2.5km kids' races
  • 3.33km ER/SIE Team Lauf (he/she team run)
  • 6.66km Volkslauf (fun run) and Nordic Walking
  • 10km Hauptlauf (main race)

The race course is a flat 3.33km loop on asphalt roads and gravel paths. Competitors run through the town centre and through a beautiful English landscape park, the Harrachpark, passing the Tudor-style castle of Schloss Prugg (pictured above).

The start and the finish line is on Hauptplatz, Bruck's picturesque main square:
