The Brucker Citylauf is an annual running event held traditionally in the spring in Bruck an der Leitha, a small town of about 8,000 people, located approximately fourty kilometres from Vienna at the eastern tip of Austria, near the borders with Hungary and Slovakia.

It's an event for the whole family:

  • 380m-480m-960m-1.25km-2.5km children's races
  • 3.33km Hobbylauf
  • 6.66km Volkslauf & Nordic Walking
  • 10km Hauptlauf

The race course is a flat 3.33km loop on asphalt roads and gravel paths. Competitors run through the town centre and through a beautiful English landscape park, the Harrachpark, passing the Tudor-style castle of Schloss Prugg (pictured above).

The start and the finish line is on Hauptplatz, Bruck's picturesque main square:
