Held in the spa resort of Bad Hofgastein, a well-known skiing and hiking destination in the 40-kilometre-long Gasteinertal in the state of Salzburg in Austria, the Marktlauf offers races for runners of all ages:

  • children: 360m-720m-1.25km-2.5km
  • women: 3.75km (three laps)
  • men: 6.25km (five laps)
  • relay teams: 3.75km (3x1.25km)

Starting at the Alpentherme Gastein, the 1.25km loop course takes the runners through the pedestrianized town centre and along the leafy Kurpromenade.
