The Treviso Marathon features a flat and fast point-to-point course across the fertile Venetian Plain in northern Italy.

Starting in the Prosecco-producing town of Conegliano, which sits at the foot of the Venetian Alps, the route runs southwards through agricultural areas to the finish in the historic centre of Treviso, a city of 83,000 people, located about 30km from Venice.

The last part of the route runs through Treviso's Old Town with its picturesque canals, waterwheels, churches, piazzi and palazzi.

In 2014, Simon Rugut of Uganda (2:16:32) and Laura Giordano of Italy (2:46:36) led a field of 1,835 runners across the finish line. Approximately 120 teams took part in the marathon relay race (3x14km).

The time limit to complete the course is six hours.
