Held on the edge of the Adriatic port of Trieste in the north-eastern corner of Italy (on the border with Slovenia), the Trail Jamarun features an amazingly beautiful and very challenging 15km-long course which includes 850m of ascent and 850m of descent.

The race begins and ends in the village of Bagnoli della Rosandra, from where the competitors run up to the over-400m-high Karst Plateau and through the spectacular Val Rosandra gorge.

Last year, the Trail Jamarun had 220 finishers. The race limit is 250 runners.

The time limit to complete the course is three hours.
