Vienna (Austria), Sunday 30 August 2015
Held in the baroque gardens of the Augarten, a public park in Austria's capital Wien, the Augartenlauf attracts around 400 runners.
The event offers three races — a 1,000-metre run for children, a 5k, and a 10k.
Starting and finishing at the Porzellanmanufaktur Augarten, Austria's number one porcelain manufactory, the 10k is four laps of a flat course on asphalt and gravel paths through the park.
The route passes two of Vienna's six Flaktürme (flak towers) — massive anti-aircraft defence towers and air-raid shelters, built during World War Two.
This is one of the two flak towers in the Augarten Park.
