The Giulietta & Romeo Half Marathon is one of Italy's most popular half marathon races. In 2013, around 5000 runners completed the flat course through Verona, a beautiful city of art and culture, surrounded by lovely wine-growing regions.

The race begins at Verona's main stadium in the south-western part of the city and ends on Piazza Bra in the city centre.

Participants run across four different bridges over the River Adige, and at the end of the race they run through the Arena, the third-largest of all Roman amphitheatres.

Entrants must provide a medical certificate if they are not registered with a recognized athletics club but they don't need it for the two-person relay race (8km + 13km).
