The Maratonina Città di Udine is one of the top half marathons in our international Race Guide. Over 1300 runners took part in the race last year.

Although the route is not completely flat and although the last part of the race is run on cobbles many runners have achieved excellent results in Udine. The course records are held by Kenya's Benson Barus (59:41) and Margaret Okayo (1:07:23).

Start and finish are in the beautiful historic centre of Udine, a city of 100,000 people, situated in the Friuli area in the far north-east of Italy.

The route consists of a 13.5km loop through the densely populated area north of Udine, followed by a 7.5km loop around and through Udine's city centre.

In addition to the half marathon, the event offers a non-competitive run ("STRAUdine"), which is 7.15 kilometres long.
