The Wörthersee Trail offers three very hilly multi-terrain running races, which are 15km, 30km and 57km long. Competitors run on a mix of trails and roads along the shores of the 16km-long Wörthersee in Austria's state of Kärnten.

Last year, around 450 runners took part in the event. The most popular race was the 57km ultra marathon loop around the lake. The fastest finishers were Thomas Bosnjak (4hr 31min) and Ulrike Striednig (5hr 22min).

The ultra marathon begins and ends in the Europapark at the eastern end of the Wörthersee, approximately four kilometres from the city centre of Klagenfurt.

The shorter races start en route. Participants can use the Wörthersee ferries for free to get to the start areas in Velden (30km) or in Maria Wörth (15km).
