19th Olympic Marathon and Half Marathon Relay 2012

Over 5,200 runners took part in last year's Olimpiai maraton és félmaraton váltó, a very atmospheric running event in Hungary's capital city Budapest.

The event offers a marathon relay (6x7km), a half marathon relay (3x7km), a minimarathon relay (3x2.1km), and a half marathon for individual runners.

Start and finish are at the magnificent Hungarian Parliament Building.

The course is a 7032.5m loop which takes runners out-and-back along the Danube and around the Parliament Building.

In 2011, the fastest male marathon relay team finished in 2:17:19, the best female team in 3:01:58.

Entries: online (until 6 June 2012), by post (until 1 June 2012), or in person in the BSI Office in Budapest (until 7 June 2012); late entries on the day until 30 minutes before the start

Entry fees (21km individuals): 5500/6500/7500 HUF (until 3 June/7 June/10 June 2012)

Exchange rate: 1000 HUF = ca. 3.40 EUR (February 2012)

Timing: ChampionChip - 1000 HUF deposit (fully refundable)

Race centre: Kossuth tér (Kossuth Square), METESZ Székház (METESZ Building) (on the day from 8.00 until 30 minutes before the start)
