Held in a wine-growing region in eastern Slovenia, the Ormoški mali maraton offers a half marathon, a 10km run, and children's races.

The start and finish are on the athletics track of Ormož, a small town situated on a terrace above the River Drava and the border with Croatia.

The route is a mildly undulating out-and-back course on country roads along the Lešnica valley, which runs northwards from Ormož through the picturesque Slovenske gorice hills.

Last year's Ormoški mali maraton had around 250 participants. The half marathon winners were Tadej Kaluža (1:13:16) and Helena Javornik (1:22:08).
