One week after the Vienna Marathon, a section of the Mariahilfer Strasse will be closed again to all traffic for the 10th edition of the Mariahilfer Strassen Lauf.

The event is also called Run15 as it takes place in Vienna's 15th district (15. Bezirk), the most multicultural of the 23 districts of Austria's capital.

Participants choose between the 8km race and the 4km fun run. Children run shorter distances. Nordic walkers walk 2km.

The route is a 1km-long out-and-back section of the Mariahilfer Strasse.

In 2011, the event had around 380 participants. The top finishers in the 8K race were Thomas Srb (27:10) and Lena Pernold (32:05).
